An Inspiring Letter from a Springville Middle School Student
Dear Kerry Kennedy and John Heffernan, My name is Jaycee Miller; I was the 3rd Place Middle School Winner in the Speak Truth Video Contest. Thank you so much for the honor of being considered one of the winners. Being recognized was amazing and I’m already planning my video for next year! The reason I write to you today is to ask a favor. I was hoping you could please put my $50 Savings Bond prize into the general fund for Speak Truth to Power. After considering the financial situation in the third world countries which lack their true human rights, $50 would make a much greater difference in their lives then mine. It would mean a great deal to me if you could. Thanks so much, and I look forward to supporting you and your colleagues in the fight for human rights in the years ahead.
