Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a State of Central Europe.

The State was born in 1993 with Slovakia, from the peaceful separation of Czechoslovakia  after the dismemberment of the USSR and its satellite states.
Since 2004 it is a member of the European Union.

Government has still not put into practice the anti-discrimination law, with strong ripercussions on the Roma community, in particular for access to education, housing and healthcare, as well as threats of attacks from extreme right groups.

Great concern arises from the inhuman and degrading treatment of people with mental disabilities.
