Still Waiting for Tomorrow: The Law and Politics of Unresolved Refugee Crises

Have you heard about the Western  Sahara? Today, it is the “Last Colony of Africa,” occupied by the Kingdom of Morocco  and host to numerous  human rights violations. Come learn about it  from the "Sahrawi Gandhi."

Aminatou Haidar, 2008 recipient of the Robert Kennedy Human Rights Award, is a staunch champion for human rights in the Western Sahara.  A former political detainee, Ms. Haidar has endured hunger strikes, torture and intimidation to fight for self-determination for the Sahwari. Come hear Ms. Haidar speak about her human rights campaign, its history and what can be done.
