Aminatou Haidar, 2008 recipient of the Robert Kennedy Human Rights Award, is a staunch champion for human rights in the Western Sahara. A former political detainee, Ms. Haidar has endured hunger strikes, torture and intimidation to fight for self-determination for the Sahwari. Come hear Ms. Haidar speak about her human rights campaign, its history and what can be done.
