Memorial Fund for Family of RFK Human Rights Award Laureate Sonia Pierre

(2011-12-20) On December 4, 2011, 2006 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award Laureate Sonia Pierre of the Dominican Republic died suddenly from a heart attack. Sonia was a single parent and the sole provider for her family. She was only 48 years old and left behind four children; Solange Manuela, Minerva Leticia, Humberto Alejandro, and Charlemaine Ernesto, and two grandchildren Gael and Israel. The RFK Center is creating a fund to help her loved ones through this difficult time.  We hope you will join us in providing support for Sonia's family.
