Mozambique

Mozambique is a Republic of Eastern Africa. The President is Armando Guebuza, elected for the second term in 2009.

The country has been devastated by a civil war throughout the ‘80s, that ended in 1992 with the signing of the peace treaty in Rome.

Police has continued to kill suspects, committing presumably  also extrajudicial killings. Six police agents have been prosecuted for human rights violations. Police has used excessive force during demonstrations, killing at least three persons and injuring other 30.

Freedom of expression has been suppressed and journalists ever more often undergo vexations.
