On behalf of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights we mourn the loss of Vann Nath, who passed away today. Vann Nath, one of only 14 known survivors of the infamous Tuol Sleng S-21 prison in Cambodia, was a man of great dignity and strength who simply by telling his story has made this world a better place. We feel honored to have been able to spend time with him as recently as a few months ago, when he guided Kerry Kennedy and her daughter Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo, John Heffernan and Theary Seng through the notorious Tuol Sleng prison.
