"Stay human" - in memory of Vittorio Arrigoni

RFK Europe condemns the brutal murder of the Italian activist ...

The Robert F. Kennedy Foundation of Europe, with the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights, strongly condemns the brutal murder of Italian human rights activist Vittorio Arrigoni on April 14, in Gaza City.

Arrigoni was active in the Gaza Strip since 2008, with the International Solidarity  Movement.

IRFK Human Rights Award Laureate and Speak Truth To Power defender Raji Sourani is calling “upon the government in Gaza to prosecute the perpetrators. Furthermore, all necessary measures must  be taken to secure the safety of international activists in the Gaza Strip.” [Read the full press release.]

We wish to remember Vittorio Arrigoni with the words of Robert Kennedy, spoken in South Africa in 1966: “It is from numberless diverse acts of courage that human history is thus shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest wall of oppression and resistance.”
