Countries
Serbia

Serbia is a Republic of South-Eastern Europe. The President is Boris Tadić, elected in 2008.

Serbia was united to Montenegro until the 2006 referendum, where Montenegro voted for the independence.
In 2008, the Albanian majority of the Serbian Province of Kosovo proclaimed its independence with a declaration approved by the Parliament of Kosovo. Serbia declared null this proclamation.

Serbia has made great progress in arresting suspects charged by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and in pursuing war crimes in national courts. However, it has not been able to arrest the most wanted war criminal, Ratko Mladic.

Discriminations acts have continued, with the forced eviction of Roma and the cancellation of the Gay Pride Parade.
