Valentina Pagliai

Valentina Pagliai was born in Lucca in 1975. After a degree in Modern Literature, she achieved a PhD in Cinema and TV Production at the Italian Film Institute in Los Angeles and a MA in Peace Education, International Cooperation, Human Rights and EU Politics, with a specialization on gender issues. She worked at the Università di Pisa as a tutor for foreign teachers and then started working in the communication and events field at Ultima srl, where she worked at the organization of events at the most important European Film Festivals since 2003.
In 2004, she started working as a ccordinator for the nonprofit organization Speak Truth To Power.
She also writes articles concerning cinema for several magazines.

She is currently Speak Truth To Power’s Educational Programme Director for Europe.

She speaks fluent English and French.
